About Me - The Ghostwriter

My pen name is Edmund Jay, and my expertise is storytelling. I am a professional ghostwriter with a background in publishing, film, entertainment, and law.

A lifelong lover of words, I am inspired by helping others find their written voice in expressing their experiences and ideas with passion and precision.

My early personal mentors include my father, a capable grammarian and author who cut his chops in the Ivy League and went on to be an accomplished wordsmith and public speaker; the mother of a summer girlfriend, known widely as one of the three most successful mystery writers in the world; and an acclaimed author and former editor of a prominent regional newspaper who taught me investigative journalism on the streets of one of America’s most corrupt cities.

Over the course of four decades, I have served as Editor-in-Chief for a university paper, a regular contributor for a national publication, CEO of a publishing company, attorney, scriptwriter, speechwriter, published author, and ghostwriter.

My clientele has been diverse, ranging from wealth managers and thought leaders, a front page headliner to a successful corporate CEO. My ghostwriting can be found at Barnes & Noble and the editorial page of The Wall Street Journal. I have also been pleased to see my work emerge into films and television shows, some of which continue to air today.
